Not really where I want it to be yet - the idea is to combine different aspects that I like from the various countdowns. But to actually create the entire thing from scratch (apart from the thunderclaps sample).

I actually quite like it... it has an 'online' feel to it... dunno what thats supposed to mean though!

Nice, do you have a mp3 download.

Its not perfect, but its good.

Strings need to be a tad louder I think, but definately needs a stronger drum beat.

Considering it's from scratch though, you've done really well!

That is fantastic considering you did it all from scratch! Well done. I agree with the comment about the thunderclaps, they could be louder but please do more - a 90-second one for news 24 would be brilliant!

EDIT: I just noticed the subtle quietening of the music just before 30 seconds (well, 27 since the latest relaunch Rolling Eyes) , that is a really nice touch, makes the thunderclap at 27 sound very important!

Yup, of course it should be at the 30 second point - what the hell are they thinking with their 27 second BS??!?

Very good - much better than the 1st version. I love the sound effect at 18 seconds, reminiscent of the 2003 World countdown. Id' put more of those in it if it were mine, perhaps another at 14 and at 06 like in the real version - it sounds a bit odd having just one on its own! The extra drum beats are great too, and give it a much needed lift. I'd also make the 10 second point more dramatic if it were my composition but its yours after all so well done! Just my two cents!

Not that I have ever payed much attention to the sounds in the original, but seems like you've got them spot on. Excellent.

Fantastic - great improvement on the first version.

As mentioned above, any chance of an MP3?

Also, it might be nice if you had a go at some headline beds and titles!

Yup as I said before, when it's done I'll put up a proper MP3 version.
