Off topic slightly but anybody know the BBC News section is in nearly every European language except German? (Or is it and I have just missed it?!)

Surley if Albanian is available German should be

BBC News Languages

The www.bbc.co.uk/german doesn't exist so I guess you haven't missed it. It does seem bizarre because I would have thought German would be the most widely spoken language in Europe, with the possible exception of English. Germany also has the one of the highest proportions of people online, as well as Austria and large parts of Switzerland also speaking the language.

Presumably this is because Germany has adequate news from other outlets.

If I recall correctly, the BBC French site is actually aimed at the African countries that speak French- presumably because they're targetting less developed countries as they don't have such a developed media.
