I agree, it’s been a wonderful series with a vast array of talent from the past few decades, all with amazing voices putting on such entertaining performances when we’ve needed them the most.

It’s been lovely to have this series that I’ve been able to talk about with younger family members, older family members, friends and even staff in shops. I think the winner summed it up well when they said “life can be too serious”, and we’ve all felt that to varying degrees over the past 10 months or so. It’s been nice to have a good piece of entertainment on the TV that has had people guessing and most importantly talking.

Just out of interest, who brings up the show when you’re in a shop and how does the conversation go?

I tried talking about the show in a shop once, but the self service till in Tesco wasn’t interested.

Exactly, life is at times, too serious.

I understand we need to do our bit for everybody around us, but sometimes, we all need to lighten up a bit, even if it's just once, just because we're all staying in our homes, it doesn't mean that you cannot let your hair down and have fun.

I've spoken about this series and "who this person might be" to my family and friends who have watched the show, did a watch along with a few of them too.

Shows like The Masked Singer are a good antidote to the world's uncertainty. A lot of people would be better off cutting their news consumption and taking a break from social media and just have fun.

I've done exactly that, I used to be on Twitter, but I got rid of it because of the constant news and drama that was thrown in your face, I don't even use Facebook that much anymore.

On a completely different topic, sounds weird, I know, but I even brought a Unicorn and Dragon onesie for myself as something to remember the show by.

Exactly, and a good antidote here as well just having a thread which is largely just a bit of fun for the members.

As far as I'm concerned history shows the third series of reality shows are often the best - they just hit their stride then and have the confidence to make the best show they can, so fingers crossed for the new series.

It's such a ridiculous show and even I've been tuning in over the last few weeks. I was completely gripped by it.

Damn those pesky South Koreans at MBC for coming up with a very watchable show.

I cannot wait, I'm very hopeful about "The Masked Dancer" as well, if ITV decide to commission it.

We're getting I Can See Your Voice on BBC One soon which is also from MBC. Interesting that the hottest format in years is not from the likes of UK, Europe or USA.

Yes, I'm not sold on that format at all but like The Masked Singer it needs the public to understand it's more of a gameshow than a talent show.

Looking at the US format it looks like it's bring Lip Synching to Saturday Nights BBC1 - and I am yet to be convinced Lip Synching is suitable content for anything more than a Youtube/TikTok video.

Can’t agree more, hope you’re doing well. Saturday night takeaway starts next week, that usually puts a smile on my face and I was wondering if you also enjoy that?
