This shows a distinct lack of self awareness in my view. If anything it plays into the hands of anti-vaxxers who claim the whole thing is some sort of elite conspiracy. Blocking out the three main commercial networks with an ad containing priviledged celebs is not in my view something that will win misguided individuals over.
There are many different types of vaccine conspiracy, this ad is just aiming at one of those, specifically those that claim it is meant to be repeat of this

Surely it's not aimed at 'anti-vaxxers', as you say those small minority won't be persuaded by anything. It's for the general public who might be swayed by anti-vax propaganda.
It's to counter the false information, not to win over to those giving out that false information - it's the undecided theyre going for

Yes, even without the modern day 'anti-vaxxers' there is always deep suspicion in some parts of the world and within some ethnicities regarding vaccination and other western medical treatments. This is part of countering that

I agree, all it's going to do is give the WhatsApp aunties (see the horror stories on Twitter) more ammunition to spread more BS.
My grandma is telling everyone in my family to drink hydrogen peroxide to kill Covid and I'm absolutely furious.
THE WHATSAPP AUNTIE AGENDA NEEDS TO END before someone gets hurt.
I think the only people who would convince anti-vaxxers to get the vaccine are the people who convinced them to be anti-vaxxers in the first place. Everyone outside of their echo chamber is the enemy, as is the nature of echo chambers.
There are anti-vaxxers who are, for ideological or other reasons, opposed to all vaccines, and there are people who are not opposed to vaccines in principle but are nervous about the Covid vaccines on the grounds of how quickly they have been developed and that they haven't been around for long enough to know about any long term side effects etc.
The latter crowd might be swayed by reasoned fact?

But part of that propaganda and scepticism is fed by this (false) notion that it's a conspiracy supported by the elite, and I'm not sure a campaign featuring high paid celebrities effectively lecturing, is the right way forward.
I absolutely get the need for a clear campaign of information, I'm just not sure they've gone the right way about it.
