It's also an opportunity to see a decent studio being used for a few minutes.

I'm sorry to spoil people's fun here, but they're not in the sport studio, they're in the newsroom.

Wherever they are, it's an improvement.

I really enjoyed the interview with Captain Sir Tom Moore and his family this morning.

What makes you so confident unless you work there? Dan's appearance this morning promoting football focus was most certainly from a flash studio and not the newsroom.

Steve Williams, Custard56 and Newsroom gave kudos

Thank you! It really did look like superior CSO this morning.

I am not however convinced the sport during Breakfast weekdays comes from the newsroom.

Sports presentation into breakfast is done from the sports newsroom on the ground floor. It’s really not coming from the sports studio.. it’s near if that’s a consolation.
Dan was at the newsroom camera on the second floor in that shot,
I’ve no idea what a flash studio is..?

I apologise, it's US language, it's a CSO studio (presenter only) where presenters can wear shorts down below and broadcast attire above.

In the case of CNN, the CSO is so good, I'm inclined to think they are HD screens.

Apologies is this is common knowledge, but I didn’t know Dan Walker used to read the Granada News

In CNN's case, and in the case of a number of others, they aren't CSO or Chromakey, they're HD screens or in some cases, a physical backdrop. Some only have a chair, whilst others have a very small desk to the side where a laptop can sit.

That position in the newsroom is also used for the political news bulletin on 'Politics England' each Sunday.

Unfortunately, last Sunday they forgot to change the screen in the background from 'North West Tonight'.

Is this the laziest "shake up" article the Express has ever done - basically just reciting the intro, something people here don't even do, as they actually have no idea if it was actually a "last minute shake up" or not. Fair to say not.

Maybe it's time a rota ban was put in place at the Express too.

That's absolutely ridiculous. It's obvious Louise was on leave this week (apart from the Kate Middleton interview on Tuesday) so Naga was covering for her from Tuesday to Friday and took yesterday off to compensate, in which case Rachel Burden covered, as has happened hundreds of times.
