Where do the ITV local politics programmes come from? Is it all from the same studio somewhere in London? I've always assumed that it was Westminster but haven't seen it used for anything else (other than a climate programme coming soon).

It's Millbank. ITV has two studios there - the one you've talked about for local politics programming and a CSO cupboard for ITV News and GMB
Have the local politics programmes returned yet except in Border Scotland

Thought so. It's a shame they don't use it more.
Meridian's Last Word is back not sure about the others.
Robert Peston is live from Dorset tonight outside what looks to be a cottage. Looks as if he went for a weekend break and ended up having to work due to the news that transpired today.
Chris Ship getting lucky with his shift today (and not just knocking off an hour early) with one of the biggest stories of the year. His paper gathering skills are much improved since his debut.
Can't be often a news bulletin is on location for the 4th story in the running order. Do miss the on location broadcasts also having someone in the studio for the other news of the day.

Not only that, they’ve sent all three main anchors there - when there’s arguably more important stories going on at home. So I imagine if the link goes down, it might just be the ITV London newsreader who will fill in.

Why does it need Tom, Julie and Rageh all to be in the US??
Especially during a pandemic and when it's such a busy news week in the UK and Europe.
At least Mary and Nina are still in London, who I assume are next in line, if needed.
I'm quite surprised really that all UK broadcasters have pretty much gone for business as usual in their coverage rather than keeping anchors in the UK and relying on just sending correspondents to the US.
Wonder if Tom or Julie will end up fronting the Evening News on Wednesday too, though with the lockdown vote on Wednesday too it may not be top of the running order anyway.
