The sound is dodgy, but other that that it was a great show as per usual. Hopefully they will tweak the sound for next week.
This forum usually hates it though, and then in a 3 weeks when the same item has been on twice, people will be saying the item is tired, like what usually happens as well.

This place wouldn't be happy unless they replaced SNT with a 90 minute news bulletin!

Rubbish. People who get annoyed with it, just do so because they believe it could be made better and indeed was once.
That said, I think they did a good job under the circumstances and the sound issues only really caused problems on one section of the show in terms of me being able hear it.
I can't help thinking some of the posters are being miserable sods. Watching with the wife overall we enjoyed tonight's show.
I will agree though that one problem with a live virtual audience was there was a noticeable echo due to them watching on TV. Probably something that wouldn't have been spotted in rehearsal due to people not being able to watch them on TV as well as their laptops/ devices. Not sure how easy this will be for them to fix for future weeks.
Yes there are definitely issues with the audience sound for me - at times I thought they were booing but as they're at home I think they might be more reserved than they would be in the studio.
But overall they've done a really good job pulling this together under challenging circumstances and I'm sure much of the audience will have really appreciated this.

That's putting it mildly! The majority of the people watching Takeaway aren't going to picking every aspect of the show, they want something that can entertain them.

I think the issue is, it’s unlikely you’re going to find it difficult to get a whole family headphones connected up to the same source. And doing it three hundred is going to be impossible. I think they’re basically going to have to fade the audience down when not needed, which then takes away from the desired atmosphere.

Ah yes that must be it. I normally love Takeaway. But it kins of needs to be funny. If tonight was a brand new programme people would say it was shocking. The golf football bit was a particular low.
It is our intention that the Finalists will be sent specialist electronic equipment by us in order to allow their live
video feed for the Game to be as a stable as possible to fit the broadcast requirements of the Programme
but to the extent this equipment cannot be provided, we reserve the right to revert to use the Finalist’s preexisting computer equipment with suggested software and/or revert to a telephone connection.

Wonder if they send certain members of the virtual audience who are potentially going to form part of a segment in the show a specific model of webcam or similar...
