'The Hits' is sporting a new look this morning, which is a red and white theme which looks very strange, but nice at the same time!
The song 'caption' at the start has a spinning thing that looks quite like a snowflake - but I'm sure it's something else really!
I take it the "snowflake" is more-or-less the same logo as before, but tarted up a bit????
Does it look like a proper full revamp, or more like a refresh?
I'm in my local library right now (I've no PC at home). Will have a look at The Hits when I get home (It had better be worth it! ). It's seems a bit odd to revamp on a FRIDAY, of all days
It seems a full revamp - an ident played before that was completely different, bit of a shock after a year and a half of the same music. It looks a lot more professional, a bit more Box-like IMHO.
The new look is very nice! Mucy more professional.
The Logo is the same, but the name "the hits" is now next to the logo, in a much bigger font size.
The song names are very cool, they dont just fade on like the old ones, instead sort of appear and have lots of swirling white dots, then disappear by turning white and fading off to the left. Hard to explain... so its probably best you check it out yourself! A massive improvemtn though.
They also seem to have some new catchphrase. When I saw an ident come on after the brak, the hits logo formed in the middle with some text underneath, it said something like "it's a good feeling inside", but im not 100% sure!
Sorry, the new catchphrase is actually "such a good feeling"! It comes on at the end of every ident, which feature lots of swirling colours and lots of people kinda jumping through the air! Again, hard to explain...
And while doing these screengrabs I've just discovered that this 'follow-up' song to that 'F*** You' song, has exactly the same tune and production just with different lyrics and sung by a woman. Is it any wonder that singles sales are dropping when record companies are now releasing identical songs in the space of a few weeks?

Aye indeed. It's by Frankee and it's called "F U Right Back" - apparently it's the woman Eamon sings about in the song getting her retaliation.
Zzzzzzzzzzzz.
Reminds me of the Sporty Thievz version of TLC's "No Scrubs" called "No Pigeons" - i.e. a complete waste of time.
