IA bunch of amateurs... All experienced directors have left, so the days of BBC Pres being the best in the world have well and truly gone. Sad

The directors who put Salsa Ident and Circular wipes into News 24 have gone yes - moved to News 24 probably. And while they're working at 24 perhaps they should notice the cock ups their own channel output without savaging the work of presentation directors in one fell swoop

What is with BBC. I was told by Acquisition that ECP's would be used on episodes for 1-2 weeks at a time (usually 1) and then we would return to normal credits.

Recently we've been getting them every day! What is with BBC One?

I'm sure they are exceptions to the rule but there certainly seems to be more exceptions lately! The end of tonight's EastEnders was a perfect example - was there meant to be an ECP? The sound faded, anno eventually appeared, some sound cut in, sound went up, sound went down, anno popped up again.

Not that it's just the BBC. ITV1 side cut the World's Funniest Animals (blatant US show with UK presenter overlaid) instead of squeezing them the other day for an ECP. Does no-one fast forward the programme to the end to see what needs to happen?

There was another cock-up with the ECP over this afternoon's Neighbours. Someone forgot to squeeze the credits, so we ended up with the ECP playing out over the top of the credit sequence obscuring most of the text. Rolling Eyes

Do you know that to be a fact or are you just pretending to know?

It is quite possible that the equipment failed to do what it was told.

Sorry, my bad.

It could have been either the equipment failing or human error.

Don't apologise to marksi. If you apologise to a CA, you'll regret it for the rest of your life. Believe me, I've been there and I know.

Thanks for the warning. I'll remember that next time. Wink
