Telewest tio add international channels to its pac

TV5 is the only officially confirmed channel that will launch on Telewest Broadband in February, but there are supposedly more on the way, to this fantastic range of channels.

I used to watch TV5 in the olden days of Telewest analogue. They also used to broadcast RaiUno (Italy), TVE (Spain), that Chinese one and a couple of others. Then they had to share with other channels during the downtimes, and eventually were dropped completely. Nice to see TV5 making a return anyway...

Will they be free-to-air?

memo to telewest: add these channels too.
sat1 and rtl (germany), tve1 & 2 (spain), rte1 & 2 (eire) and any others you can get.

If only Telewest would add VOX, it need only be for a few hours a week, late Friday and late Saturday.

i hope vox is in the list too. we might not want the €uro but we want €urochannels.

Diamond Cable/NTL used to do Sat1 as a free to air channel, and TV5 for £1 a month on analogue, but they were replaced in 1999 with UK play and UK Horizons.

i think there should be more channels on telewest.
personally i'm surprised it doesn't have more than sky digital.
i'm happy with the range of channels we've got but i'd like more channels without increasing the already expensive subscriptions.

what other new channels would telewest viewers like to see?

I'm lookign forward to the time (whenever that is) that the cable companies get some good interactive software, and get VOD off the ground. Authough I thign Digital TV means TV. I want a healthy choice of programmes. I dont want to be swamped with hundreds of channels and I dont care that much about interactive really.
