The coffee bit wasn't too bad. And this doesn't need much more improvement. Good job!

For the bike shot to work I think you need a couple of extra human shots too - personally I don't think they're necessary. Think the very end still needs work - IMO it needs to cut away from the food shot into something a bit more spectacular.
And just had an awful thought - if The Big Breakfast launched today it would probably be yet another one of those cookery/chat combos which are about the worst form of TV around at the moment.

As Brekkie suggested, you need to cut into something else at the end. Maybe the sun could shine to the camera and could reveal the logo? Maybe that wouldnt be a good reveal, but I think the sun maybe in the same setting as the beginning would be good.

If you have the sun at the end, surely you'll need something else at the start, probably an alarm clock or something?

I have another version planned with another human shot (BB superfans may be able to guess what it's of).

Knew it would be jogging - that scene looks great. Still not a huge fan of the actual bike scene - think it would be better if you could find a shot of a bike coming towards the camera than moving away. The endcap is much better - the transition probably needs a bit of work, but overall I'm very impressed.
Kind of getting annoyed now though the show itself didn't bother updating those original titles. It baffles me why they didn't put new footage into the front end of the titles for the 1996 revamp, but even before that when both Chris and then Gaby left you'd have thought they'd have freshened up the original titles with a few new clips (as they did with the break stings). Indeed I think certainly when Zoe Ball started I got up a 7am especially and was disappointed they hadn't tweaked the titles at all.

I agree, the bike shot isn't perfect, and the season doesn't really match the jogging shot. They don't really have postmen on bikes in the UK anymore (did they ever?) I rushed the endcap as anything that requires After Effects I've had to do in my office, then I've put the rest of the titles together at home in Movie Maker. But I think we're on the right track.
I agree it was a travesty they didn't do something better with the 1996 titles. If I had some better quality versions of the 96 break stings I would try something with those, as I think they would flow really well into the fly-in of the art deco house.
Just for fun (pun intended) here's a set of titles with a whole different theme... imagine if The Big Breakfast had carried on, and got a RI:SE-style revamp...

I would have thought they would have included the brown look of the house in the titles too as it was brown for a good long period.
I don't understand why they only changed the french windows in the living room in 2001 re-vamp either.
I'm liking the update, especially the new title card at the end!

Never made sense they commissioned those brilliant break stings and did nothing with the titles. Most scenes could have been directly replaced with something from those stings.
Also whilst we're rewriting history it was a shame they never did a more Christmassy version of the 1997-1999 fly-in titles. They added snow and sleighbells but they really could have gone further and replaced the opening and closing shots with something most festive (based around a tree rather than breakfast table) and had presents, baubles etc. flying into the house instead of the food. Considering they tweaked them for the World Cup in 1998 you'd have thought they would for Christmas too.
It was also incredibly odd that after that they just reused the original Christmas titles, which didn't fit with the theme or titles of the time at all.
