I usually do the 'can I imagine it being played over the end credits?' test and no, I can't. However I do think it's a really good effort and nice to see someone at the BBC trying a different route. Clearly established old acts don't cut it with Europe and I think this has a good chance to do well - it deserves to. As others have said it just needs Molly to be a bit louder, I was struggling to understand her at certain points.
The live production version as we heard last night is somewhat different from the Radio edit issued today. Molly has been brought forward in the mix, with the instrumentation and backing singers being pushed back.
It's much, much better, here .....
hope people here agree. This is what should be aimed for in the Contest itself.

I think it's really good - even more so in the studio version. I
can
imagine it playing over the credits.
It will stand out and, vitally, I think the lyrics will resonate with a lot of the audience. We've got a really good chance - although I'd love Spain to do well too.

United Kingdom currently third favourite down the bookies' at 10:1.
As I said on the other thread, what's wrong with saving BBC2 some budget by filling 4 or 5 hours
very cheaply
with Eurovision semi finals?
Live or recorded shiny floor shows are far from cheap and that's before you pay for all the production costs involved in producing that amount of artists and songs.

The rules are that broadcasters must show the semi final that they are in or voting for. The only suitable option would be to broadcast the semi finals on BBC 2. They can't leave it to red button only as it breaks the rules, I think.
