Surely not... Big Brother would be a phenomenon on any of the ITV networks!
On any of the ITV channels that isn't ITV, it would be a relative ratings success compared to the rest of the output. But the further down the EPG you put more it will get missed. ITV Be is going to be quite a bit down the EPG on Sky at least.

I suppose in that respect but surely there will be adverts and posters about the move if it was to happen.

Yes but you're not instantly going to have people remembering your channel, channel name and channel number within a few weeks. An example of a failed move of an established programme to a brand new channel would be Richard & Judy.

I understand that but I think the large number of viewers that watch big brother will follow the show as it moves ,I know I would!

You don't understand the viewing public, they're simply not as logical as that. If you moved EastEnders from BBC One to Channel 4 overnight the ratings would plummet over night.
It's not really the small number of hardcore fans that would be problem, the majority of the viewers are probably much more casual and just dip in from time to time when they come across it browsing channels or have read something interesting is happening. It's those you'd lose.

I agree an established channel like ITV2 would be more suited but I don't think it would be as doomed as 'Richard & Judy' was if it were on ITV Be. ITV Be has the familiar ITV name and also the most watched and established commercial TV channel to cross-remote the programme. Watch to the majority of viewers was a completely new channel, unaffiliated with any others and UKTV has less scope to cross-promote to big audiences.
ITV have been going to steal Big Brother everytime the rights have been due to be renewed for the last decade - can't see it happening this time either but I'd be interested to see what they did with it as they did. As someone who was a huge fan of most of the C4 run but can't stand what C5 did with it I've a feeling ITV would actually do a half decent job.
I would bet on the main series being on ITV2 with perhaps post-News at Ten repeats and evictions on the main channel. Celebrity Big Brother would be on ITV - they can easily find 3 weeks in the schedule for that.

Actually Endemol have made all the right changes since it's moved to Channel 5. The style of the show has moved with the times and it's working better than it was in the final few years on Channel 4 now.
If ITV do get the rights to BB, would putting shows across 3 channels be pushing it?
What I mean is the main show being on ITV2, late night repeats and possibly the live evictions on ITV and extra shows (Bit On The Site) on ITVbe?
Also I wonder if they would consider bringing back live feeds? I know a lot of fans like the live feed, maybe that could go on ITVbe during the night and for a few hours during the day?
Will be interesting if ITV do actually get the rights, but i'm not holding my breath just yet.
