Using a hot air balloon is a rather apt visual metaphor for the ITV daytime schedule.
Full of hot air, and very little substance.

Former stv news Edinburgh presenter, Juliet Dunlop appeared on GMB this morning reporting live. Is this her first time appearing on the show?

She's been on a few times now reporting.

A humorous 'blast from the past' this morning!
Maybe they should have kept this on screen to drive viewership?

Charlie's not a blast from the past for GMB. Though it seems Suzanna shall be sat with the BBC Breakfast lot as I can see Carol, Sally, Steph and I think Bill sat behind them. Either that or Suzanna will be sat in the middle of Breakfast and GMB.

Should be amusing when seeing the shot of the presenters when announcing BBC Breakfast as a nominee tonight and seeing a glimpse of Suzanna!

Just watched the clip before 7. GMB is in the row infront of Breakfast, but no one is named next to Susanna, Breakfast seem to have the 5? Key presenters.

I wish they'd sort out the graphics. That image is quite frankly appalling. In 2014 GMB had quite a pleasant and informative graphics package. Today, it has poorly placed and somewhat ugly elements surrounding a badly sized white rectangle.

I agree. I almost reminds me of the crazy 'patchwork quilt' style lower thirds on US news programmes (although not quite as bad).

BBC Breakfast manage with just the clock most of the time. The programme name only appears during name straps, and the ticker only during breaking news (I think).

ITV already have a DOG. Is the programme logo to remind the production team of what name the breakfast show is called this week?

I don't want screen clutter: in fact it's not even necessary, as most of the time I'm just listening, not watching the screen. However, when I do watch, I don't want to be bombarded with such nonsense.

Well the DOG is something that all Breakfast Channels/franchise/shows on Channel 3 has had. Then the clock.
The ticker was the 'newsy' addition from GMTV 2009 refresh and since then most breakfast shows have had some type of ticker at some point during the show.

The logo and clock have been used together since the GMTV days, through to Daybreak. The problem with the GMB logo is it's too large (and the name too long) to do something like that.

Logo, clock and ticker is fine but the aston telling you the current feature (which also now appears on This Morning) is just unnecessary.

Always said though with GMB they should go retro and put an analogue clock inside the blob rather than the name, though at launch the shape of the logo wasn't familar enough to risk that - and not sure it still is.
