To me it seems they use the old one on fridays...

The 'new' one is used in days where they're doing their latest 'health kick' thing. It features the dance people, Dr Hilary and one of the chefs. The other one is quite generic for her show.

This is the Guardian's recent interview with Susanna Reid discussing GMB:

How accurate do you reckon the ratings calculations are?

Are you reading the same article as the rest of us?

I'm reading on a mobile so I've no idea which bit is meant to be wrong but I couldn't see anything mis-reported

I tuned into GMB for the first time in ages this morning. I know it's old news now but not liking the lighter theme. The original one was so much better.

There was a very long close today as the music started too early. Also the camera sweep at the end didn't do any favers for keeping the illusion that the "windows" are real.

The content on GMB seems dramatically improved (minus the awkwardly forced banter). This morning the Chilcot coverage was well produced, professional, and captivating-- certainly overtook Breakfast/Sunrise's coverage this morning.

Yes, they only make an effort when something newsy is going on. It'll be back to the usually trash soon, don't worry Very Happy

Absolutely appalling coverage of the developing breaking news from the US this morning with regards to snipers shooting dead four police officers in Dallas so far (as of 6:30am). While Sky News spent around 20 minutes of the first half hour showing the latest pictures from the scene and showing us statements from those involved, Good Morning Britain mentioned the shootings at the very top of the hour in a minute-long pre-recorded package, and then didn't mention it again until a one-line summary as part of quarter-past the hour 'headlines' round up. To put this into context, they have spent two more minutes talking about Taylor Swift's new relationship than they have about the ongoing shooting situation. That is an absolute joke.

This has improved throughout the morning however.
