ITV have for a while shown FYI Daily, a showbiz news segment of a few minutes long, in one of their ad breaks during moves. But this week they've started listing it in the EPG, splitting movies in two and meaning you have to set a recording for two parts of the movie separately.
I quote a member of a closed facebook group where this has become a talking point:

They did it with Dr no earlier and the recorder only recorded the first hour
Are ITV 2, 3 and 4 putting the ridiculous FYI Daily on during their films just to mess up the recording??
Probably depends on your device but with C5 if you record the first part before the news update it automatically records the second.
I assume this strategy enables an extra ad break as that's the only reason I can think they'd do it. I do wish though they'd record a sports news update for ITV4 instead - that would be far more suitable.
Whatever it is that Channel 5 do, it doesn't seem to be enabled on ITV. For example, if I schedule a recording for a film on Channel 5 it shows both parts set to record, whereas on ITV2/3/4 it just shows the first part.
I don't know if you can go and record series, when you try to record a film, that's split in two by FYI daily.
I was trying to record Fast & Furious 3 on ITV2 last night, and Series Record was available on Freeview but it didn't link it with the second half of the film, there was no clock [S] next to it in the EPG that I normally see. Ended up recording the two parts seperately.
