Surely not... Big Brother would be a phenomenon on any of the ITV networks!

On any of the ITV channels that isn't ITV, it would be a relative ratings success compared to the rest of the output. But the further down the EPG you put more it will get missed. ITV Be is going to be quite a bit down the EPG on Sky at least.

I suppose in that respect but surely there will be adverts and posters about the move if it was to happen.

Yes but you're not instantly going to have people remembering your channel, channel name and channel number within a few weeks. An example of a failed move of an established programme to a brand new channel would be Richard & Judy.

But a success, although at first a little dip, was Neighbours from BBC One to Channel 5 - but that was overshadowed when Neighbours moved from Channel 10 to 11, in Australia, and it actually helped the show and is now often the highest rated programme on the "digital" channels! - It also helped that 11 is 50% owned by 10 and cross promotions worked!!!

ITV have been going to steal Big Brother everytime the rights have been due to be renewed for the last decade - can't see it happening this time either but I'd be interested to see what they did with it as they did. As someone who was a huge fan of most of the C4 run but can't stand what C5 did with it I've a feeling ITV would actually do a half decent job.

I would bet on the main series being on ITV2 with perhaps post-News at Ten repeats and evictions on the main channel. Celebrity Big Brother would be on ITV - they can easily find 3 weeks in the schedule for that.

I agree IF ITV do bid and obtain Big Brother, that ITV2 is the ideal home for the programme. For me, the whole thing should be on that channel. ITV of 2014 is a different beast to ITV of 2005, with less Reality TV and more Drama and Documentary programming.

As for ITV Be, it'll be interesting to see how different it is to the current ITV2. Whilst the channel is generally not my Cup of Tea, I wonder what ITV2 will lose to the new PPV channel?

As the football over-ran tonight because of Extra Time and penalties I did expect that the schedule would either be running late or a programme would be replaced with a filler - sure enough L&O:UK was taken off the schedule but what I didn't expect was that programmes from The Americans onwards would be running EARLIER than billed by 15 minutes!!!!!

I think they're contractually obliged to get the highlights on air before midnight so something had to give.

Just out of interest, Britains got more talent was pushed forward on ITV 2, what aired prior to this due to the schedule change?

I think they're contractually obliged to get the highlights on air before midnight so something had to give.

Even so the original schedule was:

2130 Law & Order:UK (rpt)
2230 The Americans
2330 ITV News
2345 FA Cup Highights

But the amended schedule was:
Law & Order: UK dropped (as I expected as much)
2215 The Americans
2320 ITV News
2335 FA Cup Highlights

Therefore, it may be contracted to start before midnight, why suddenly make the schedule earlier than originally listed - a filler could have easily slotted in for 10-15 minutes to bring the schedule back on track!!!

Something is either pushed back (i.e. later) or brought forward (i.e. earlier). It's not that hard.
