Also, "he" is the name of a global branding agency.

I am aware, but since the brand is a name, I am going to refer to it as he, since the name derives from a person.

Although Jack Morton died 10 years ago so it's certain he wouldn't have had anything to do with those recent set designs.

I'm not suggesting Good Morning Britain has been designed from beyond the grave. Merely that the agency is still Morton's brainchild, and if I want to refer to 'his' company, I will.

Except British Breakfast TV!

Yeah, cos BBC Breakfast's dreary red sofa in the corner of a regional news studio effort and Daybreak's cheap, laughable 80's throwback
are shining examples of fine set design...breakfast or otherwise.

Hey I preferred the last Daybreak set I thought it was quite warm, cosy and early morningy - the GMB and other sets in his portfolio look a bit blue and cold. The new GMB set screams more News Magazine (American Style) than Breakfast TV.

Yes the Breakfast one is a bit simple but it does the job fine without being a cheesefest. The Breakfast backdrop maybe empty but its calmness contrasts the actuality of most people's early morning routine - unlike the uber busy TC7 backdrop of a newsroom. My personal favourite would have been the 2003-2006 BBC Breakfast one that seemed to have the balance just right - it was spacious but somehow cosy and warm.

It has got it right - you should be able to use whichever pronoun you want. A man once disagreed with me about it, but I told her that she was wrong to force pronouns on things or people.

Just got one of those push notifications on my phone about Sky News Sunrise tomorrow morning at 6am, the story, 11 year olds who still wear nappy's. Now to me that sounds like a story you'd expect to hear on GMTV/Daybreak-hopefully not GMB.

A lot of the time, Sky News Sunrise features/stories were exactly the same as Daybreak. It's just that Sunrise didn't have Mark Wright or Joey Essex presenting competitions and they wouldn't dedicate as much time on fluff as Daybreak did.

Daybreak v1 got 1 million viewers on its first episode - hope GMB can match or beat that, but most of all, maintain it.

Fingers crossed. I'm hoping that not so much time goes to the lifestyle features. They are meant to be repositioning all of their daytime programmes. This Morning has been told to cut back on their news features, GMA IMO should leave some of their lifestyle stuff to This Morning. I'm not saying don't cover things at all as long as there focus is informing people of the big stories that they need to know in the morning.

I know that an itv target audience is females, but its not to say that it's got to stay that way.

Has the promo aired on STV or UTV? I don;t think I've seen it being promo'd up here...

GMB certainly stands out from the recent evolution of ITV Breakfast's sets.
