I still can't understand the whole Piers Moron thing... Putting in someone so brash and controversial is simply not the kind of thing people want for a morning news show.
Give them the news, weather, sport, one or two feature stories and a decent regional news bulletin twice every hour with travel updates. Presenter-wise, all they need is some competent, friendly faces with experience is news - they need not get such high profile and expensive figures when it evidently doesn't produce the results ratings-wise.
If ITV have a bad image in many people's eyes they have nobody but themselves to blame.
The bizarre, brash, loud, offensively patronising, intellectual abattoirs that is 80% off the running order clearly isn't succeeding in gaining viewers... And is it any wonder?
This, plus a man who represents (almost) everything I loathe about today's media adds up to a show about as watchable as 'Sex Box'.
How many viewers do they average, 500,000, maybe 600,000 occasionally? Does it improve ever?
Perhaps they should have stuck with the Daybreak v2 'NewsHour' format for 2 and a half hours - simples.
The answer for me lies, as ever, with BBC Breakfast and R4 Today, certainly not with a man who makes me want to punch my Telly.

Thats what i was just thinking, surprised Sean featured in it rather than Charlotte. But perhaps she wasn't available when they made this promo.
I have to say I quite liked Piers presenting in April and i look forward to seeing him present full time.
Was thinking the same thing too! Considering Sean doesn't normally appear after 635, and Charlotte is there with news updates throughout the programme.
I have to say what i noticed in that promo was new window backdrops. It looked nice with the winter sun rising and i'm wondering if they will be changing the window backdrops with that new setting.

Is it just me, or does it look like Ben has been edited in to that promo afterwards? He is the only one during the promo that appears on his own, and he seems to be under different lighting compared to the other four at the end.

I understand where your coming from but he was definitley there as we see him move about. But i think there was CGI involved as the doors Piers used to enter the set weren't the actual set doors.
