Not true on either front. I just don't see the point in passing judgement on something that isn't a finished presentational product - hence the four weeks of rehearsals.

I get what you're saying about making final statements based on a few images - the classic TV Forum phrase 'I'll wait until I see it on screen' applies.

But surely passing judgement on what has been seen so far is natural and kinda why this place exists?

With that said my judgement is that it looks unfinished!

Whatever changes are made between now and launch day, I have to admit it all looks very impressive.

Just out of curiosity, is the 2005 relaunch thread still around somewhere? Would love to have a read of it.

Does this come me with new graphics then? I just think if they launch with this awesome new studio and with these current graphics, we/i will be disappointed 🙁

No graphics changes. It would be pointless considering the current set is only 16 months old.

Then it will be disappointing, new studio and a proper Gfx package with proper headline music and theme tune is what's required.

No point in passing judgement at this point, but commenting on it should be encouraged.

October 24th is not that far away. The interior of the building is very white. Unless there is some painting planned, it could end up looking very dull on screen. I can't see much changing with the graphics either, although a new TOTH sequence, and new soundtrack would be very welcome.

It's quite funny, BBC looks more like Sky News and Sky News looks more like BBC in those photos

No accounting for taste. Clearly Sky are on a different track here, moving towards a more contemporary news product which does not involve drenching everything in red and blue lighting or reviving tacky presentation elements from the 1990s that many here are still pining for.

Strikes me as very Scandinavian so far, crisp, clean and minimalist.

Guess the BBC News needs get their finger out....
