I've been reading your site for the last few months... Nice job chaps. But I've been spurred into joining because I do feel you're giving the Points West team a bit of a needlessly hard time. We love em. They do a great job... and yeah I agree that the new look will take some getting used to - but damn it, at least they care enough to update their image. I've been watching Breakfast News this morning and (it could be the dashing young man they've got presenting today) but I think they fit in better than ever before with the national news now. Evelyn Very Happy .

Really? I wonder if it's true what they say about men with big feet! Many of you sound like you work with Points West or at least know people there. Is it true? (about the size of his feet, not what it implies, obviously) Shocked Evelyn

Well that's what it says on the Points West website

Don't know about us being hard on them, Evelyn, or getting used to the new set, I think we just tell it like we perceive it; and perception is truth, after all.

It's still that <expletive deleted> screen I'm having immense trouble with. I caught the top of the regional bit of The Politics Show yesterday, with that nice Mr Garmston-Dickenson stood next to the thing, and I STILL couldn't make out what was on it through the fuzzy haze.

If they sort out that MAJOR technical blunder, I'm sure I'll get used to the rest of the set and I'm sure Susan will get used to appearing whilst showing a hint of ankle.

By the way, if you think we're hard on Points West, you should check out what gets said about that crowd from down Bath Road!

A) Actually I do agree with you about the screen for the weather. Everything else has move on, and that's worsened. B) Don't even get me started on HTV. Hence Points West is best. They should never have let Kevin and Sherrie go. C) Thanks - about the feet thing ... Didn't realise there was a website about him/presenters so I'll check that out. Might even send my thoughts to Points West itself. They strike me as the sort of people who might just take on board our opinions. Evelyn

Haha! Never let Kevin go? The man that saw them to the programmes lowest viewing figures EVER?

For the sake of Points West, Kevin ... Come back from the Channel Islands!

Did I ever mention that my dog was on Points West, back when he was just a few hours old?

It's not that important, I just thought I'd get the thread back on the front page in case the management have missed any of the latest pearls of wisdom!

Yes, him and his brothers and sister were appealing for a surrogate mum because theirs had passed away whilst having them all.

It was all awfully sad, but they got one down in Yeovil or somewhere like that, so there was a happy ending, thanks to the team at Whiteladies Road.

What is it with these random road names? I had the terrible misfortune of setting foot in Exeter last week, and I had to drive down "Black Boy Road", which had shops on it with names like "Black Boy Bargains". Quite extraordinary.

The only good thing about the whole experience was that I didn't have to experience their ghastly local news programme.

Ghastly? I hope you mean Spotlight (or whichever it is that covers Exeter) and not Points West!
Getting back on thread... did you all notice that the MFI desk 'you' hate so much appears to be slowly disappearing in the shorter news. I've been looking out for it, but have barely been able to see it... It barely appeared in the late one last night and I haven't seen it at all this morning. Evelyn.
