Interesting.

100 points to Sky News if they allow the programme to be called "Cut the Crap".

I think the show needs to differentiate itself from the current offerings. There should be more questions, quizzing the panellists, almost in a manic style, and the chair needs to be cast as a homely character.

Greggles's Quizmania, anyone?

I have never been able to warm to these new graphics, hopefully they will change them when they move to the new studio.

They should also bring back the voice. "Live, from the Sky News Centre...."

I agree, the whole presentation needs revitalising. Everything's all rather subdued.

It's on the EPG, so I don't think I'm telling tales out-of-school here, but from Monday, the weekday editions of Sunrise will be simulcast in their entirety on Sky1.

Sky1 will also simulcast the 5am hour of Sky World News from Tuesdays to Fridays.
London Lite and VMPhil gave kudos

Are the feeds currently split for Sky1 HD and SD during the simulcast?

That I couldn't tell you, a) because I don't know, and b) because it hasn't started yet.

Good idea by Sky, not a huge thing but I think that this is a good decision by them.

Apologies, I was confused because there's a current Pick simulcast.

Is there any purpose is the simulcast, on Sky 1, everyone will have Sky News who has Sky 1?

Perhaps to try and steal some audience from BBC Breakfast and GMB who wouldn't otherwise venture so high up the EPG (especially if they turn their TV on and it's still on Sky 1 from the night before).

Also it's cheap.
