Good Morning Britain - 2015 Refresh/Tweaks

Today's show began with, (no Junior doctors, no David Bowie) but instead Piers Morgan reading out a GMB review that had spelt Susanna's name wrong...

EDIT: ^^this was after the titles. The opening of the show had multiple lives in today, with Charlotte and Richard for the Junior Doctor strike and Richard and Ross on David Bowie's tributes.

Didn't see that but it sounds pathetic when the breaking news is more important.

In fairness to GMB, they spent from 6:55am to 8:30am yesterday reporting solidly on the death of David Bowie, with the only exceptions being weather and competition information, and today had numerous guests and reports on it, including live reports from New York, (and there was a good deal of interviews and pieces live from the scenes of the junior doctor strikes) so I think it's unfair to make out they covered it improperly just because Piers spent a minute mentioning a review.

Very odd. Some of their GMB videos are geoblocked (like that one) but others aren't.

Either it's hit and miss depending on who uploads them - or the ones that are blocked will have stills, commercial music, archive or agency material in them (which GMB would only normally negotiate UK PSB rights for?)

Sorry if this has been discussed already, but has local news been scrapped on GMB? I watched from 7.15 to 8.05 this morning and didn't get a local news bulletin at all.

I'm not a regular viewer but was tuning in to see if there were any changes to the ITV London set, in line with expected changes to network ITV News later.

There was a bulletin at 6.10.

You may have just missed it - didn't see it today but it used to be 7:05 or somewhere around there. When it launched it was much more frequent and mimicked Breakfast's times at :25 & :55, it was a shame they reduced the times.

Thanks both. I seem to remember them being much more regular at launch. Shame it's reduced as I feel local info - especially weather and travel - is pretty useful for those about to leave for work.
